The Boxing Day Test Match between Australia and India will be special. To make it even more special, Australia has included a 7-year old boy Archie Schiller in the team to face Virat Army
Archie Schiller, a seven-year-old kid who is battling congenital heart disease, has been named Australia’s co-captain for the third Test against India, which will commence on December 26. Archie’s wish was fulfilled by Cricket Australia under Make-A-Wish Australia campaign.
Archie’s inclusion was made public earlier this month. The kid got the news of his selection via a phone call from Aussie head coach Justin Langer. “He (Archie) has been through some tough times, spent a lot of time in a hospital bed.. So anyway that we can help to put a smile on his face, it’s the very least we can do for him,” said Langer.
It’s not just inclusion, young Archie has been practicing too with the Aussie team
